When it’s Halloween, but it’s also a brand new episode of At Home with Amy Sedaris.

Amy dropped by the AOL Build Series studio in NYC yesterday to discuss At Home with Amy Sedaris. Watch it here!
I’m also seeing a lot of comments around from people who want to watch the show, but have dropped their cable or don’t get truTV. No problem! You can still get the series on Amazon Video, iTunes, Google Play, Vudu and probably other streaming services. Trust me, this show is amazeballs. It will basically be the best 20 bucks you’ve ever spent.
It’s finally here! The series premiere of At Home with Amy Sedaris is TONIGHT! Pinch me! 10:30 pm (ET) on truTV with repeats at 12:30 am, and Wednesday, October 25, at 5:30 pm.
Cut your cable? No problem! You can purchase a season pass for the show on Amazon Video.
And if you missed Amy’s fantastic segment on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night, here you go. Seriously SO good, and so reminiscent of her Letterman appearances. It was Amy’s [long overdue] first time visiting the show, but hopefully won’t be the last. Enjoy!
At Home with Amy Sedaris is just two days away! I attended the premiere at the Bowery Hotel in NYC last week, and I can assure you, you’re in for an incredible treat. The show, which is honestly difficult to describe, is like a brilliant mash-up of Martha Stewart on acid and Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, with a hefty added dose of whimsy and a homespun feel. It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen, in the very best way. Fans of Strangers with Candy will rejoice, as tinges of the show are undoubtedly there, from a catatonic pet bird (think Jerri’s catatonic father) to Stephen Colbert’s Noblet-esque guest appearance. The show was co-created by Amy and Paul Dinello, so I was delighted to find that At Home and Strangers share a very similar tone and sense of humor.
The theme of the episode screened at the premiere was gift-giving, and the show was comprised of a few segments revolving around the topic. I don’t want to give too much away, since a lot of the fun with At Home with Amy Sedaris is how each scene is more ridiculous than the last. That said, I found the best part to be the running gag with guest star Nick Kroll as Randy Fingerling, a dirty old fling who tries to seduce Amy with his coupon book for everything under the sun “with full release.”
At Home with Amy Sedaris is everything I wanted it to be, and then some. It’s the funniest thing I’ve seen in ages, and exactly what the world needs right now. I laughed so hard, I could barely breathe, and then immediately declared it to be my new all-time favorite show. It’s an insane amount of fun. I had ridiculously high expectations going into the screening, and this series completely blew them out of the water.
You can catch the premiere of At Home with Amy Sedaris this Tuesday night, October 24, at 10:30 pm (ET) on truTV. And don’t forget that Amy FINALLY visits The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for the very first time tomorrow, Monday, October 23!
We’re just a mere few days away from the premiere of At Home with Amy Sedaris and to kick it off, Amy will finally pay a visit to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday, October 23. YES! You read that right. COLBERT! This appearance is certainly long overdue, but hey, better late than never! Colbert actually guest stars on Amy’s new show, so we Strangers with Candy fans will get a bit of a reunion here. The Late Show airs at 11:35 pm (ET) on CBS, and of course you can catch the premiere of At Home with Amy Sedaris on Tuesday, October 24, at 10:30 pm (ET) on truTV.
Amy is also scheduled to appear on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen this Thursday, October 26, at 11 pm (ET) on Bravo. Good times!
