YES! We finally have a premiere date for Amy’s new homemaking-comedy-variety show, At Home with Amy Sedaris!!! Tuesday, October 24, at 10:30 p.m. on truTV! Season 1 guest stars include Rachel Dratch, Jane Krakowski, Stephen Colbert (so maybe Amy will finally be a guest on his show?), Chris Elliott, Paul Giamatti, David Pasquesi ( Stew the meat man! “Steewww, meeeeat”) and Scott Adsit, among others, and each episode will have a theme, such as gift-giving, cooking for one, wood, the holidays, grieving, love-making, fish and poverty. I’m already crossing my fingers for a second season! Watch Amy and Jane Krakowski sing about the proper use of glue, and just try not to get this stuck in your head…

It’s happening… and SOON! Variety reported yesterday that Amy’s new truTV show, At Home With Amy Sedaris, will indeed premiere THIS FALL!
“At Home with Amy Sedaris” – 10 Episodes – Series premieres in Fall 2017
Comedian Amy Sedaris hosts this combination of hospitality, variety, and talk show formats. The series will tackle homemaking skills like gift giving, cooking for one, making love, entertaining for peanuts, and murder-cide, among others. The series is produced by PFFR with Sedaris, Paul Dinello, Alyson Levy, John Lee, and Vernon Chatman executive producing.
Oh my gosh, you guys, I have something seriously exciting to report… TruTV has greenlit a scripted comedy created by and starring Amy! YES! It has been a long time coming… AMY IS GETTING HER OWN SHOW AGAIN! Here’s what we know so far:
Tru ordered 10 half-hour episodes of the yet-untitled series
It sounds like the show will be at least somewhat based on Amy’s bestselling books, I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence and Simple Times: Crafts for Poor People
Each episode will center around a theme such as “Wood!,” “Fish!” or “Grieving!”
Production begins THIS SUMMER (! – which means we could be seeing this next fall or mid-season?!)
Tru has already made a placeholder page for the show on their website, which says, “Amy Sedaris cordially invites you into her home, where she will show off diverse but necessary homemaking skills, from death-bed etiquette, to gutting a fish, to crocheting miniature sweaters for a mice infestation, to entertaining your husband’s business associates.” (This make it feel so real! It’s really happening!)
Full details here! And I’ll, of course, continue to post more info as I find out. Hooray!
